So I purchased the Ketone Breath Analyser portable ketosis breath tester several weeks ago from Amazon US, but it gave me zero results after three days, and I had already been three weeks on keto. I returned it to Amazon US, and wrote a review. The sad thing is that since the review, the item has been unavailable, so the review is not even readable by others, so I wanted to be truthful to write about this poor product.
Positives of Ketone Breath Analyser
- I liked the fact that it was portable and didn’t require much charge once I’d received it.
- It doesn’t feature a mouth piece, you just pop up the breath analyser and breathe into it.
- It’s available in three colours.
- Has many positive reviews on Amazon US.
Negatives of Ketone Breath Analyser
- You have to wait an entire 90 seconds before you can even use it. If you want to use it after the first reading, it takes another 65 seconds.
- I found it to be very inaccurate. I got several 0 results, and one 0.4 one day. I had already been following a strict keto diet for three weeks, and according to this device I wasn’t even in keto.
- If you are buying from the UK, as I did, you will have to pay shipping costs.
My Amazon Review
Poor device that is not at all accurate. Over three days and having been on a strict keto diet with carbs below 50g per day, for over two weeks, I get only readings of 0.1 and level 1. It even said the same reading the morning after I had vomited from food poisoning the night previously and knew I had had very little food in my system. Not an accurate device, and you have to wait 99 seconds before you can even perform a reading.
Overall, not recommended.
